If You Have to Stop Taking Your Supplements, Start Up Again Soon
As soon as the participants in a Massachusetts study stopped taking their brain-enhancing supplements, their mental functions started to decline back to their original level of functioning. The participants were all adults without dementia. However, after taking the supplement again, their scores shot up quickly. The brain enhancing supplements formula included N-acetyl cysteine, Acetyl-L-carnitine, vitamin E, vitamin B12, folic acid, and S-adenosylmethionine.
Expect Changes Over Time
Researchers in India decided that the best way to get children to take vitamins and minerals was to add it to salt. They tested 213 children aged between 5 and 18 years old who received brain enhancing supplements on memory and attention and then evaluated their clinical lab values as well. These children were compared to 189 children in a control group.
There was a significant improvement in all memory tests and biochemical tests in the group that received the brain enhancing supplements. Iron and zinc levels increased significantly and the vitamin A deficiency in the kids decreased from 57% in the beginning to 16% at the end of the 9-month study.
The brain enhancing supplements (salt) contained vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, folic acid, iron, iodine and zinc.
