Another study, this one from UCLA Center for Human Nutrition found that when overweight subjects consumed a low calorie diet and a capsaicin compound called dihydrocapsiate (DCT), they had different results.
The subjects were on the diet for a full month. For several hours after the DCT was taken, the body’s fat oxidation was increased to about double of those who took no DCT. The body was burning fat. These researchers concluded something different: use as many peppers as you can stand at a meal to improve your weight loss.
So can you expect fast weight loss from the capsaicin? You’ll have to try it and find out for yourself. One thing is for certain, it really helps if you already like to eat hot peppers!
Belly Fat Results From Stress
Belly fat is what’s called visceral fat; the fat around the organs. This is the type of fat that is predominantly associated with diabetes, stroke and heart disease. It’s the type of fat no one wants.
Stress can actually inhibit the thyroid gland from creating active thyroid hormone. But more than that, stress causes the body to adapt, and one of the hormones created is cortisol.
